Winery

Date. 2008

Santa María de Jesús, Guatemala

The Winery was commissioned by Chateau DeFay in 2008. The brief was to create a large storeroom to house the winery’s machinery.

One of the benefits of the Lamina POP system is that large rooms can be created, without the need for support pillars. The need for additional supports is eliminated by the outside walls which form a connected membrane, allowing it to carry heavyweights. Height is easily achieved with the Lamina POP system. By leaving the lamina exposed, light is reflected within the building, removing the necessity for additional windows beyond those within the roof.
