Swezey's Tower
Date. 2010
Santa Ana, Guatemala
The Tower was built in 2010 on Pablo’s property (Antigua Guatemala) as a guest house/ gym. The property comprised of a bedroom, living room and bathroom.
The construction of the Tower was a perfect opportunity for Pablo to experiment with the flexibility of the system. The Tower is a great example of curved walls, a difficult and time-consuming feature in normal brick and mortar properties. Is also the first Lamina POP building to feature a first floor, broadening the future construction horizon. Once constructed, it was decided that the property would benefit from additional windows. Luckily this is an easy process in Lamina POP buildings and the two tall windows seen in photo 1 were added in.
